Recea este un sat şi comună din raionul Rîşcani. Din componenţa comunei fac parte localităţile Sverdiac, Slobozia-Recea și Recea. Localitatea se află la distanța de 16 km de orașul Rîșcani și la 165 km de Chișinău. La recensămîntul din anul 2004, populaţia satului constituia 2601 oameni. Satul Recea a fost menționat documentar în anul 1429.
