Satul Cogîlniceni este aşezat pe partea stîngă a rîuleţului Cogîlnic, de unde vine şi numele localităţii. Cogîlniceni este situat la o distanţă de 25 km de oraşul Rerzina şi la 73 km de Chișinău.
